Ordinary day with not-so-ordinary people.

Woke up at 7 a.m. since I had a lot of shit to do before I got to City Hall at 10 a.m.
Made coffee, looked at mom's post-its, did them, made more coffee.
Dressed somewhat formal around 9 a.m. for a small meeting and for City Hall at 10 with Kevin Lacap.

PERSON #1: Brother's clubbing friend, and a photographer, Jolina.
THE STORY: Rang the door bell around 9:15 a.m. Wanted to see my brother but I said brother didn't sleep in last night. Saw me all dressed up for a meeting and City Hall, said she liked my outfit, and asked me if she could take some pictures of me for her photo project and also asked if I can give her some tips for Photoshop. Said alright. Took some pictures. Picked this one out to photoshop as example.

(Moded, was not posing at all, believe it or not, but for some reasons, neither of us liked the ones I somewhat posed in, but we liked this one, haha.)
Showed her around in Photoshop. Finished everything off around 9:50 a.m. because I said I needed to head out soon. She said thanks and I said good bye. Rang the door bell again, I went outside, and she tells me this: "Thanks so much. You were a big help. Sorry if I disturbed you but I haven't slept since last night, out partying, and now I'm really hungry. You wanna go grab some burritos with me or you have to go right now?"
Um. Awkward. Don't know you that well, you're my brother's friend, and I feel weird, and I don't want burritos in the morning (All in my head) And then, I said, outloud, "Oh, thanks but yeah, I really need to head out soon, sorry." She left, I went back inside, made noodles for mom, thought to myself, "Was she high?"

Kevin called, said he couldn't make it at 10 for City Hall, maybe later in the day, and I said alright. Read more of Mom's post-its, followed the boss's instructions until Kevin calls back.

PERSON#2: Macho dude in a truck at Costco's gas station.
THE STORY: After the first weird incident, I headed out to Costco to fill up some gas. Didn't wait too long in the line but cars started coming in behind me while I was waiting in the line too. Got to my turn. Came out. Realized I didn't change from what I was wearing for City Hall. Oh well. Got my card out. Slided it. Brought out the pump but the pipe was all weird so I was trying to sort that out and the car behind me honked and a macho Mexican dude with Tattoos on his arms came out of his window, yelled this at me: "HEY! Have you ever pumped gas before?" I thought he was joking so I smiled, and said, "Yeah." And then he goes, "Well then, let's not waste time alright? We don't got all day!"
Wtfuckingshit. Got pissed a little, kept it down, said, "Alright, I'm sorry." to the guy. Pumped gas. Left.

I was like this.

PERSON#3: Old lady in bart.
THE STORY: Around 2, I finally left for a meeting at Downtown and City Hall shit. Mom dropped me off at Daly City Bart Station. Got my ticket. Went inside the bart when it came. It was pretty empty so I sat down. But when it got to Glenn Park Station, a lot of people came in. It almost got full. An old white lady with a big bag didn't get any seat, stood right in front of me, so I gave her mine. I stood there, she sat at my spot. She said thanks and I said you're welcome. I thought that was it but whenever I glanced over at her, she was staring at me, I swear. I just kinda stood there, weirded out, and she finally said this to me: "You look very neat. That denim jacket you're wearing reminds me so much of my husband. He passed away 2 years ago. He always wore that jacket."
She got me a little upset. Then I understood why she was staring at me for awhile. I said, "I'm sorry to hear that, m'am." She smiled. But her eyes were a little teary. Then we stopped the conversation. We arrived to Civic Center Station, I said bye, and she said to me, "Good bye. You're such a Gentleman. Thanks again." I smiled and got out of the bart. On my way to City Hall from the station, I cannot stop thinking about what she said about her husband and I kept seeing her face. That was something of my day.

There's always sadness in each and one of them.

PERSON#4: Mentally crazy homeless guy on Market St.
THE STORY: I got all the stuff that I needed to do over with and headed back to the station around 5 p.m. to go home. Saw more than 15 homeless people on the way from City Hall to Civic Center Station. So I was waiting at a traffic light to cross the road, this, homeless-hippie-jamaican-looking, dude popped right next to me out of no where. I think he ran or something. He was trying to catch his breath. Then he said to me, "Hey boy, got a dollar to spare?", I got scared and I gave him some coins. He went crazy. He yelled, "Woooo! Thank you boy!" He danced. He sang. And he walked to right in the middle of the road, with cars coming that way. I freaked out. He kept dancing and singing. Everyone was laughing. I thought he was gonna get ran over by the on-coming cars. But good thing it was a small road and they weren't speeding much. I calmed down. Crossed the road. He kept dancing and singing. And he yelled, "Thank you again boy!", when I got to the other side of the road. I think I kinda looked back but didn't say anything.
I thought to myself while walking, what an irony it would've been if those cars actually did run over him. I gave him money in order for him to be able to eat and survive the day (eventhough it was just some coins) but he got too happy, he kept thanking me, and the cars ran over him, and died right there (Hypothetically speaking) ... Wow.

Hooray for happy homeless people!

What a day. I was overwhelmed by all these incidents that happened with these people throughout the day with all kinds of feelings; weird, happy, sad, awkward, angry, joyful, terrified, etc. I haven't gone out much and definitely haven't been to places where a lot of people are lately so I kinda felt like I'm missing out on the world. Even though everything was strange to me today, I'm appreciative of everything that happened because I got to see and hear about people's lives, which allowed me to take part of some of them today.
